ABOUT BRAINARD LAW OFFICES, LLC

The Brainard firm was founded about 1935 by H. Ogden Brainard.  Later, he welcomed partners J. Leeds Bower and Henry ("Woody") Kramer.  They continued the firm, as Brainard, Bower & Kramer, in the Linder Building on the Square.  Eventually, the firm purchased space at 600 Jackson Avenue, in the late 1970s.

Mr. H. Ogden Brainard passed away in 1992.  His partners continued the firm, at the same location, as Mr. Brainard wished.

Mr. William Sunderman eventually became the owning and managing partner for the Brainard firm.  He remodeled the Brainard Building at 600 Jackson Avenue. The firm thrived under his ownership, providing quality service to the community and serving as a valuable mentor to younger attorneys.

Unfortunately, Mr. Sunderman unexpectedly passed away on Christmas Day, 2014.

Brian D. Pondenis, formerly an owner of his own firm in Urbana, then an associate and now the owner and managing partner of Brainard Law Offices, remained to continue the Brainard firm's name on in the community and to keep helping clients' future, present, or past, legal needs.

After working as an Associate Attorney at Brainard Law Offices for some time, Brian continued the Firm's existence, to protect current and former clients of the Firm.  Any files required to be retained, by Illinois Supreme Court Rules, of former or current clients are being safeguarded by the Brian and the Firm.  If you would like to have your files removed, please let us know.  If you would like our firm to keep your files, in case of future needs, let us know about that also.  In any event, all files are being safely stored, as they have always been.

We appreciate the opportunity to serve you, whatever your needs might be.   The Brainard firm has existed for more than 80 years. We see grandchildren and other relatives of former clients, and that means a lot to all of us at the Firm.

We look forward to helping you with your needs, as Brainard Law Offices has done for generations past, and will continue to do in the future.

Sincerely,
